What is Cold Laser Therapy?
Cold lasers use specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by the body's cells, promoting cell regeneration. This process is intended to improve blood flow, reduce pain, and inflammation.
This process can also increase the rate which damaged tissue heals. Cold laser therapy is a non-invasive alternative to typical treatment methods. It can also be a great way to support your horse after surgery or other procedures. However, we recommend reaching out to your vet prior to use.
Directions For Use:
Use once or twice a day for no more than a 30 minutes per day. It is recommended to keep the laser on each point for 1.5 to 2 minutes, then move to another spot in the same region and repeat. A course is considered to be 10 to 15 days. Please use a 5 to 7 day interval between each course. Ensure the horse is clean and dry before use.
The pulsating setting is recommended for chronic issues, however the continuous laser is intended for acute issues. Power settings will depend on the preference of the individual.
Safety Caution:
Do not look directly at the lasers and ensure the proper protective eye wear is worn during each use. Do not exceed 30 minutes in the same treatment area. Storage:
Ensure the product is stored within the protective carrying case in a clean and dry space. Avoid excess moisture and extreme temperatures. Store between 40°F and 104°F.
Cleaning:
To clean the device, use cotton and neutral cleaning fluid such as rubbing alcohol. Once the cotton is damp with the cleaning fluid, gently swipe down the device. Do not soak device or use a hard objects to dig out dirt.
