ShortUnfortunately “average” size are only 52”. Much too short to be usable. As others have commented they are quite narrow so best suited for smaller hands. Seem like nice quality otherwise.

Nice reins for smaller handsWhile the leather parts came out of the bag a bit stiff, the rubber was quite soft. I completed my first ride in them yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them! They had a nice feel and fit very well in my hands. The thickness was just about perfect: thin enough to be sensitive yet thick enough to seem like they'll hold up over time. Just being super picky, but I'd love if they were a tad less wide; however, they were still comfortable for me to hold, so it's not a big issue. I ordered full size length, and it seemed true to size. Overall, I'd recommend these as good quality rubber reins for a decent price!
