Comments: I purchased this vest in the hopes it would help me stay cooler while riding multiple horses in the desert in 100+ heat in an uncovered arena. The vest is very well made, looks nice, and does do the job, for about one ride, in these conditions. The key to it working is that it remains damp. In the kind of dry heat in which I am working, it dries out pretty fast. I can ride one horse, and then, have to "recharge". If a vest has about 100 charges in it per the manufacturer, times 6 horses a day, you can see that while it is a super product for the right situation, it becomes a tedious and ineffective product in my particular and very specific situation. Unfortunately, it took using it twice to come to this conclusion, as no where in any reviews on any websites was this fact about its effectiveness pointed out. In fairness, very few riders would be asking this much of a product as I am. Riding Warehouse is wonderful, and said no problem, send it back for an exchange. You simply can't beat the customer service of this company, very few retailers offer this level of customer satisfaction. I have become a loyal shopper. As for whether or not it actually works, yes it does, and it works very well. But if your location has a very dry heat, and you are in intense sun, it's effectiveness will wear off within an hour or so and then you are simply wearing a vest in 100 degree heat.  If you are under more normal conditions, i.e. a covered arena, a more humid environment, or less intense heat, I can see it easily working very well for quite a few hours. It would be ideal for showing, too, because it looks very nice.

Comments: After attending a Centered Riding Instructor's Clinic in Galt, Ca. last fall, in extremely hot temperatures, I ordered a HyperKewl Female vest from Riding Warehouse. Thank you Riding Warehouse!  While many businesses may offer the exact same product, the quality and consistency of customer service will be the determining factor as to why a person selects one store over the other. Riding Warehouse tilts the scales of customer service over. They listen, and respond in a timely manner. They go out of their way to do 'what's right' for the customer's satisfaction. Their actions demonstrate that customer service is as important as selling high quality products.
