The Fager John Sweet Iron Fixed Ring Bit is an ideal bit for horses with super sensitive mouths that may be prone to cuts or bruising in the mouth area. Featuring 100% super smooth surfaces, including joints, for gentle communication. The joints are designed to never press into the palate or create uneven pressure over the bars of the mouth. The anatomical shape naturally contours around the tongue, therefore relieving the bars from constant pressure.
The John is made with blue sweet iron that creates a pleasant sweet taste that many horses find pleasing compared to traditional iron or steel. This can help tense-type horses relax into the contact. The mouthpiece is designed with a gentle front-to-back curve construction, which allows releases from the rider to be felt more and encourages the horse to seek and reach for the contact. Fixed rings add stability across the tongue for a more steady connection.
