Comments: I do mounted patrol for the National and State Parks. These packs are awesome! So many times we find hikers who have gone too far into the parks without water. I can carry 8 regular sized water bottles with ice packs (4 bottles plus 1 ice pack in each bag). It is so great to be able to hand a hot thirsty hiker a cold bottle of water. Even at the end of my patrol the waters are still ice cold. The bags are also super durable - we patrol through narrow trails and I can hear the bags taking a beating but they have not ripped nor torn. The underside is very nice and easily wipes clean. The only "issue" I have is the pad on which the packs are attached is really wide. It would be nice if that were more narrow (more like an hour glass type configuration) so the pad would not actually be on the horse's haunches because as the horse moves you can see the edges of the pad rubbing hair. I resolved this by using my saddle strings to gather it closer to the cantle. Other than that, I love these bags!

Comments: I have to say, that I’m kind of disappointed in sending back these bags, because I felt I had finally found the perfect bags for me. When I first viewed the video illustrating all the ‘perks’ of these saddlebags, I was very impressed. I loved the convenience of the zippered top access lid which allows you to just reach in and get what you need. And the detachable clips that make it easy to remove each bag from the base where it’s fitted with the grommet holes. But, above all – when I’m trail riding I need to be able to hold ice in my bags at all times -- this set did not have the capacity to do that.  From: Kathy - Walton, Kentucky, USA
