The Dutton Copper Inlay Mullen Cavalry 8" Shank Bit is an unjointed, straight bit that is slightly curved to accommodate the horse's tongue. Without the nutcracker action of a jointed bit, the mullen mouth and straight bar are considered milder and encourage the horse to raise his poll. The copper inlays encourage salivation and a softer mouth while the swept cheek allows for proper balance with an ideal length for leverage.
