Overview
Coat Defense's Field Coat Multipurpose Remedy combines zinc oxide with healing oils, clay, and botanical extracts to protect against the sun, support the healing of nicks and cuts, and soothe irritated skin. Zinc oxide prevents sunburns on light skin and white marked areas, while the bentonite clay, goldenseal, and comfrey root draw out impurities, creating a bacteria- and fungus-free zone that encourages the swift healing of small wounds. Castor, argan, sweet almond, and hempseed oils penetrate deeply to moisturize and soothe skin irritated by bug bites, dermatitis, and rubs.
Additionally, shea butter, beeswax, and slippery elm hydrate and soften thick scabs, and the vitamin E and grapeseed oil encourage hair regrowth in rubbed or scarred areas through the nourishing of hair follicles. Field Coat can also be used as a precursor to the Coat Defense Trouble Spot Drying Paste when treating tougher scabs. This allows the Drying Paste to work more effectively when scabs are too thick to penetrate easily. It can also be used on flaky coronet bands to restore moisture. This multipurpose lotion is sure to stand out in your medicine cabinet, whether your horse is at a show, out on the trails, or in the pasture!
