Overview

The Burioni Endurance CL18 Wool Saddlepad w/Shock Absorber is a great option for the trails ahead, especially for sensitive equines or horses allergic to synthetic materials. The underside is constructed from pure virgin wool, a natural material that is breathable and efficient at repelling both sweat and dirt. Wool absorbs humidity to keep your horse's skin moisture at even levels for their ultimate comfort. Dry Fit technology inside of the pad is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and helps keep your horse's back well-ventilated. The outer Tex Tech "TT" fabric (made from 100% polyester) allows for improved air circulation and does not retain moisture, due to the material properties and perforated design. The EVA shock absorber in contact with the saddle is highly effective at circulating air and providing a cushioned effect by absorbing the shock of each movement. An advanced thermoplastic material, EVA is also waterproof, environmentally friendly, easy to maintain, and resistant to extreme temperature changes. Features nylon girth straps for saddle security. Great Value for PriceWe have used this pad for 75 miles of endurance racing so far. It keeps the saddle from slipping and is everything you'd hope it would be in the world of expensive endurance pads! A great less expensive but quality choice.

Good QualityMy horse is high-withered with big shoulder movement. It has been a saddle fitting dilemma (nightmare). I ride LD, and, though he has never complained, he gets white hairs behind his right shoulder. This pad appears to provide ample shoulder rotation paired with my Rubicon saddle (re-flocked/fitted several times a season). I thought it would be a hot pad, but my gelding's back has just been moist after a ride. I have 50-odd miles on this pad, and I am satisfied thus far. Note: This pad is well-made, pretty thick, and it could roll on a low-withered horse.

Well madeThis pad has lovely construction and wonderful underside fleece. Love the concept of the airflow to help keep back cool. It is a thick pad, which may not work for all saddle fits. But it would be an excellent choice for a rider who needs that thickness. I'll edit the review as I put more miles on the pad.

LuxuriousThis saddle pad offers nice impact protection and cushion when you need something a little thicker! It's beautiful and great to look at, but I think it could be too thick for some saddles and horses.
