Comments: I have no idea why everyone loves these - I couldn't wait to get rid of them! The are stiff, heavy, and give me blisters if I don't wear tall socks. I wore them for long days of working on my feet and my feet got so sore/tired after a few hours. They also take forever to dry if they accidently get wet. Going back to my paddock boots or sneakers, either one is better than these things. The only positive is that they do seem durable.

Comments: These worked well for a 2 week trek in Tibet and Mongolia, with 6 days of endurance riding and the rest hiking. They were comfortable for both, and they dried quickly after swimming rivers. It took 3 tries before finding a pair that fit well for my wide feet, and the waterproof version wasn't nearly as comfortable as these. They are light, not too hot on warm days, and quite inexpensive for the quality.

Comments: I picked these because they were cheapest on sale. I need boots that ride well, but also let me do groundwork in all terrain and walk and run with the horses and other animals. I work with kids on the leadline and they often want to ride faster. My favorites are the zip up Stealth Magnum tactical boots, but I needed a spare pair for everyday use. These ran a bit large, but still fit. The break-in time seems like it will be short, for leather boots. I was out riding in no time, and soon forgot about them. They work well for riding. I am an active sort of rider, doing a lot of training exercises for a headstrong, barn sour mare. The boots stayed in my stirrups well for cues behind the girth and one rein stops. After that, I walked about a quarter mile on foot without too much trouble. I do wish the tag and the shoelace was placed differently. The lace needs to be wider or the tongue of the shoe thicker, etc. If you lace up tight, it will cut in in this area. I wear the laces loose at the top, so it doesn't bother me. I admire the design on the boots, and they look great.

Comments: I've worn this style of Ariat boot for the 10 years I've done endurance and trail. They don't have amazing traction for hiking steep downhills off the horse, but they offer great ankle support and are extremely comfortable. They shape quickly to your foot, which is great, but it means they don't last for years. At this price, i get a new pair every year or two as needed. I prefer these boots over any trail or tennishshoe and am so glad they haven't discontinued them. I highly recommend these boots for those spending hours in the saddle!

Comments: I love these boots. They feel great on my feet and wear like iron. I oil them regularly and keep them clean and dry them at night. Ten years plus and a little seam (loosened) on the boot on outside, going up to the lacing. The shoemaker said the leather was ok but the seam wouldn't hold up and may become a sore foot. He tried to sell me on a new pair of boots but they just didn't feel comfy and they were HEAVY. I am back for another pair!

Comments: I have had 2 pairs for 10 years. One I finally threw out last year. The last pair are still in pretty good shape but I needed a second pair. I thought I was a size 9 so ordered that - I was wrong. Sent them back and got a pair of 8.5. Riding Warehouse was great! Got the refund quickly on my return and my new boots arrived the next day! Love them, love them, love them. And one of my clients noticed them - they are so new and pretty - and said she loved hers as well.
