Made to fit most saddles with a discrete look, the saver is made with a Dri-Lex material. Dri-Lex constitutes a honeycomb pattern gel that is coved with a breathable mesh material that offers the rider traction and a soft feel. Additional Information

Materials:

Dri-Lex:

Dri-Lex is a fabric that combines hydrophobic and hydrophilic fibers in a composite structure that is unique in the industry. The inner layer stays dry, while the outer layer acts as a micro-reservoir for sweat, and the moisture is literally vaporized. Dri-Lex fabrics are engineered to enhance nature’s work. They rapidly move moisture through performance equipment to keep the body dry and comfortable.

Really great saddle coverI really like this saddle cover. It provides great cushioning and relieves pressure and discomfort on my tailbone. However, I feel it could be improved by having a better attachment for the front of the saddle. The little tabs never stay in as I ride. I have another saddle cushion that has an elastic loop that I can attach over the saddle horn. I wish that were a feature on this saddle cushion.

No more saddle soresMy husband got this pad a year ago and it solved his tailbone pain. I ride about 10 to 12 hours a week on the trails (lucky me). I was getting a saddle sore on my... nevermind. I bought one too. No more sores, even while it was healing I was able to ride pain free. It blends with the saddle. Well worth the price for a quality gel pad.

Hurts meThe hurting part built up over time. I've had this pad since early July 2024. I'm an endurance rider, so I spend hours in the saddle at a time. For some reason this pad makes my right butt cheek get really tight, which then goes into the hamstring. There may even be a bit of sciatica pain now. I try very hard to sit in the middle of the saddle, but I find myself shifting positions often, trying to relieve the pain. If the pad itself isn't causing the pain, it's certainly exacerbating it. It's packaged up to send back and I've ordered a different brand of seat pad.

Debatable Whether I Recommend This ProductI ride in a Stonewall saddle. There is really no good way to secure this in front without tying some strings around the front pieces that are supposed to tuck into the front of a true western saddle, which I did initially. I've since added my sheepskin back on over this pad and removed the strings. I need to put the strings back on because with the constant motion that goes on while riding, even with the secured sheepskin over the pad, the pad moves under the sheepskin. The pad does have a lot of squish to it, and I did keep it even with the problems of keeping it in place. Is it worth all of the effort? Only those that buy it know the answer to that question.

Coccyx padI bought this pad to return to barrel racing after spinal fusion surgery, and I love it! Helps protect my spine from getting slammed down in a turn. It fits my Martin Stingray barrel saddle great.

Effective!I have had tailbone pain due to riding for years, and this helped relieve my pain. The strap stays on the cantle very well, although the front doesn’t really stay in place. It does slide a little to the sides, but it’s easily adjustable. As long as the back is in tact, you shouldn’t worry about it falling off during your ride. I would definitely give it a shot for those in pain!

AmazingI could not ride a horse for years due to a broken coccyx. My friends were going on a wilderness camping trip on horseback into the mountains for 4 days, and I did not want to miss it. I ordered this and hoped and prayed it would work and that I would be able to ride in comfort. IT WORKED! Many parts of my body were sore, but NOT my rear! Try it, and see if it works for you. I am so glad I did. Ride again without pain. Thanks for getting me back on a horse again.

This was a game changer on an old western saddle. Just returned from a week ride at a dude ranch…and it saved my butt!

Beat seat cushion!I’ve tried several seat cushions (Impacgel, Fuzzy Butt) to relieve the pain on my sits bones when I ride. This cushion is the only one that does the job! I love it!!! Yes, it’s pricey, but well worth the investment!

Does not stay in place! This was a real disappointment! I ordered it with the expectation it would provide more support, however, I never got to find out because it wouldn't stay in place. The tabs are not long enough possibly? Or maybe they should change this to the seat saver that comes under and up over the horn? The front attachment will become loose and fall off within minutes of your ride and will slide to the side.
