Additional Information
Care and Cleaning:
Use the 5 Star cleaning sponge when hair, dirt, and sweat build up on underside of pad. You can also gently clean with a flat rubber curry to help break up areas of heavier soil. Be careful not to be too vigorous and cut or damage the felt. Click for detailed instructions on care information!
Washing:
Washing your 5 Star pad is only necessary after 100+ hours of use when the pad is starting to feel hard in pressure point areas. Avoid using any soap. Wash pad from center to outer edges in all directions -- do NOT lay flat to rinse, as it can drive dirt and sweat into the pad. Instead, hang by gullet hole or lay naturally over a rail to dry. Do NOT lay pad on its back to dry, as this will stretch the leather and damage the inner lacing. Flex pad once dry, to fluff and loosen the felt, which restores optimum compression protection.
