Cross country also referred to as XC, boots are made with the tough demands of 3-day eventing in mind. These boots completely wrap around the horse's leg and are built with a strike plate in the front and the back. This is because they need to withstand and protect from the impact of hitting an obstacle that won't fall down as well as the potential for overreaching while galloping. They are lightweight and don't hold onto water making them a great option for trails too.
