LeMieux All Purpose & Brushing Boots
All-purpose boots, also called brushing boots, are general protective boots that completely wrap around the horse's leg. They are often made from softer materials than boots with hard shells or solid strike plates, such as open fronts or cross-country boots. Great for flat work or jumping, these boots are quick to put on and great for matching with LeMieux's core and seasonal color collections!
LeMieux Cross Country Boots
Cross country also referred to as XC, boots are made with the tough demands of 3-day eventing in mind. These boots completely wrap around the horse's leg and are built with a strike plate in the front and the back. This is because they need to withstand and protect from the impact of hitting an obstacle that won't fall down as well as the potential for overreaching while galloping. They are lightweight and don't hold onto water making them a great option for trails too.
LeMieux Open Front & Fetlock Boots
Excellent for jumping, open-front boots, and fetlock boots offer protection to the soft tissue and tendons on the back of the horse's leg. These boots are offered in more subdued colors making them appropriate for the show ring and have fleece-lined and unlined options.
LeMieux Tendon Support Boots
Tendon support boots completely wrap around the horse's leg and provide protection to the delicate tendons along the back of the leg. They also cup underneath the horse's fetlock producing additional support and protection to the suspensory ligament. Because of this added support, they are used for riding and rehabilitation.
