The Werner Christ Horse Moonshape Anatomic Dressage Girth offers the ultimate in equine comfort. Crafted with over an inch of plush, high-quality sheepskin with a durable quilted cotton backing, this girth is exceptionally soft and breathable. The ultra-contoured shape assists in keeping it out of the sensitive elbow area while the D-rings give you options for attaching breastplates and training tools. Polished stainless steel hardware provides rust-free durability, ensuring this girth lasts for years to come.

Please Note: Due to the natural sheepskin material, the color of the black dye may vary slightly. Also, the Riding Warehouse Crew has found that the nylon keepers are sensitive and customers should use caution when tightening.

Additional Information

Care Instructions:

The manufacturer suggests leaving any sweaty product in an open, airy spot with access to fresh air in order to properly dry. This will allow sweat to air out and not compromise the sheepskin, leather, or metal. Washing the items with a sheepskin wash is also suggested to keep your products looking and feeling good.

Excellent dressage girthI've tried many different girths for my mare, and this is the only one she can use that does not gall her. The crescent shape, the elbow relief, and the real fluffy sheepskin work miracles for her.

Very niceI use this with my dressage saddle for long distance rides. So far it’s been very soft and durable, withstanding the wet Pacific Northwest spring!

Uneven Pressure DistributionThe anatomical shape is nice when you first saddle, but it pulls forward after riding. Galled 2 different horses of different builds. I believe this is because it is impossible to get the pressure evenly distributed. The front will be significantly tighter than the back, causing the girth to flare. The backing material is quite firm, and there is no elastic for the buckles. Meaning there is no forgiveness for the issue. The fleece feels high quality. If you do decide to buy, go one size up at least, if not two. At this price, I wish I would have chosen a different option.

Great girthThis is a great girth, especially for the price. Horse is comfortable. It washes up well and is durable. I’ve ordered two because I like it so much.

Comments: This girth is expensive but so worth it. My young gelding came to me with horrible rain rot. Spent months getting it under control and it left him with very tender skin. Curved shape moved girth away from the elbow. Sheepskin is easy to wash and girth drys overnight. We trail ride for hours. He is always happy and now looks wonderful.
