Comments: This is a nice beginner S hackamore to try out to make sure your horse likes them before upgrading. It is very bulky, so unless you have a large horse it's going to feel clunky. My TWH has a fairly chunky head and it was even a little big on her so we moved to a Zilco which fits much better. But it's my go-to "here, try out an s hack" piece that's nice to have around.

Comments: My horse loves this hackamore. He has melanomas in his mouth which make wearing a bit uncomfortable for him. He is way happier working in this hackamore than any bit I've ever tried on him.

Comments: I have both the Tough 1 and the Zilco and while they are similar in shape and design, the Tough 1 is larger in the attachment rectangle areas from top to bottom. The angle on the s is also a bit more open. That being said, on a smaller faced horse I prefer the use of the Zilco and on a slighter larger head I find the Tough 1 sits well.
