The Shoulder Relief Dressage Girth has an ergonomic shape and changes the position and angle of the billets to create a more secure fit. The center of the Relief Girth is forward to sit in the horse's natural girth groove. The sides are back two inches behind the horse's girth line; allowing the billets to angle forward and become perpendicular to the ground, which reduces the saddle's tendency to be pulled into the shoulder. An added benefit of changing the position and angle of the billets is to prevent the saddle from interfering with the shoulder. Freedom of the shoulder will allow the horse a full range of motion under saddle while the cutback will prevent galling in the elbow area. The StretchTec takes this one step farther, with a triangular elastic insert that allows the girth to give as the horse breathes. This stretch has a bonus of helping the girth contour more accurately to the horse's sternum, aiding in keeping the saddle secure and improving the comfort of your equine partner.

Comments: I have tried several dressage girths for my very stocky, round barrel arabian horse, who I ride Dressage. No matter what girth I used, the saddle would slip side to side, even though my saddle was custom fit to him. This girth keeps my saddle more in place AND he moves better in it. He no longer gets girthy when I cinch him up and he no longer swishes his tail while riding. He used to take choppy steps at all the gaits first warming up and he takes now takes bigger strides right away. Overall, he just seems more comfortable and is able to lift his back easier. I highly recommend this girth.

Comments: Loved the way the girth helped the saddle fit and the sheepskin. But a problem came up after 30 miles on my endurance Arab. The break at the three-way stretch caused a sore spot on both girth sides.. Sending it back for the synthetic or leather of the same style. (no breaks)
