Total Saddle Fit Stability Wide Stirrup Leathers
Overview
The Total Saddle Fit Stability Stirrup Leathers have a unique design that provides extra leg stability during your ride.
While traditional stirrup leathers are narrow with a long length that allows the two layers to shift and rotate, the TSF wide-body design broadens the top layer. This lets the top layer have both left and right contact points with the flap, providing a level of stability not available with the traditional style. This also creates an incredibly smooth feeling under your leg, ensuring extra comfort in the saddle.
Crafted with high-quality materials, these leathers feature 4mm buffalo hide at the wide portion and nylon-lined calfskin at the remaining parts. Together, this creates durability and keeps the bulk to a minimum. Whether you jump, do dressage, or even just trail ride, the TSF leathers are a great choice for any English rider.

Comments: Nice leathers, but way too long! Maybe these were mis-sent or mis-measured, but I ordered the 54". Normally I'm towards the bottom holes of my leathers, but on these, I'm on the very top hole & there's no room to punch more holes because the wide part is so long. Definitely buy a size down!

Comments: I'm 5'2" with more leg than torso and went with 48" leathers, which are typically the length of leathers I use. When I'm flatting or going over smaller jumps, I can get away with slightly longer leathers. However, for bigger jumps, I need to put my leathers up a hole. Unfortunately, if I put the leathers up one more hole, my stirrup hangs from the seam where the thick part of the leathers meets the thinner part, and it results in a somewhat bulky, awkward fit. I love the stability that these leathers provide (especially as someone who has had multiple knee surgeries), but I just wish they were made in a way where the stirrups would hang comfortably on any hole.

Comments: I have tried the wide stirrup leathers from another company, and while I liked them, I didn't 'love them. The leather was thick, but no quite perfect. And then I found these incredible leathers from Total Saddle Fit. They are incredible, seriously. And they do help with your leg position in the saddle. I think my favorite thin about these leathers, besides how they help me to be more secure with my leg, is that the leathers don't stretch. I have ridden in them for over a month now, and they are the same size they were when I bought them. I have them both in black and brown and the black matches my synthetic saddle, of course, it's black. And the brown leathers look great on my Dover close contact saddle. My brown saddle has calfskin panels, and the stirrup leathers are fine, and have not rubbed on my saddle at all. Maybe that's because my legs are a little more stable with these leathers? I'm not sure, but the work great with my saddle. If you are wanting a great wide stirrup leather that doesn't stretch out, and really do help your leg position, you should try these leathers. They are well worth the investment. I think you will agree with me when you try them for yourself!

Comments: I've always wanted to try wide width stirrup leathers, but was hesitant to buy other brands because I really wanted calfskin wrapped, nylon lined. These came early despite being backordered, and both smelled and felt amazing when I opened the box. I had asked TSF to provide longest and shortest hole measurements which are: 48" - Longest hole is 45" and shortest 32", 54" - Longest hole is 51" and shortest is 38". I measured my regular stirrups and found my normal hole was at 39", so I got the 48" leathers. I have pretty short legs. I'm glad I got the shorter length, but sometimes the tab flips out of the leather keeper. Visually it's not my favorite, but I don't notice it while I'm riding. They are gentle on my calfskin saddle, felt seamless under my leg and did actually help keep my leg more stable. Overall very nice leathers and well worth the price, particularly if you can coincide with a sale!

Comments: Wish they were shorter. I bought these a few months ago and they have always been on the longer side but they have stretched so much that my stirrup sits on the seam. I can no longer use them because I cannot punch more holes!
