Total Saddle Fit Shoulder Relief Jump/AP English Girth
Overview
Have you ever experienced saddle slippage or girth galling? Total Saddle Fit has re-imagined how a girth should work and therefore created a piece of equipment that allows your saddle to stay in place and provides comfort for your horse.
The Shoulder Relief Jump/All Purpose Girth actually changes the position and angle of the billets to create a more secure fit. This is due to the ergonomic shape, as the center of the girth is set forward to sit in the horse's natural girth groove while the sides of the girth are cut back two inches behind the horse's girth line. This allows the billets to angle forward and become perpendicular to the ground, which reduces the saddle's tendency to be pulled into the shoulder. An added benefit of changing the position and angle of the billets is to prevent the saddle from interfering with the shoulder. Freedom of the shoulder will allow the horse a full range of motion under saddle while the cutback will prevent galls in the elbow area.
Even riders who are not experiencing saddle slippage can benefit from this girth as it improves saddle fit.

Girths are measured from buckle end to buckle end. Your horse's normal girth size should work with Total Saddle Fit girths.

Comments: I've been using a TSF girth for the last several years for my forward girth groove, prominent shoulder blades, and Mount Everest withers thoroughbred cross. After having a normal girth slide forward mid-ride and send my saddle sliding up her neck (which is a feat, given she has a very high neck-to-body connection!) I searched until I found a girth that would actually match her girth groove which is tiny and very forward, and keep the saddle from sliding over her shoulder blades. The TSF girths have done the job, in both materials and English varieties and have not rubbed or caused any problems on my thin-skinned chestnut. When I got a different saddle with shorter billets, I knew RW would come through for me with a size larger girth, which they did! This product solves a specific problem very well; the newest TSF I have seems to be a bit better leather quality, and the elastic is less impossibly stiff. The structure of the girth makes it so having firm elastic is a positive, in my eyes, but my older one never softened even the tiniest bit and took a feat of inhuman strength to get on the first hole on both sides. This one has been a bit easier, and I'm happy with the fit and quality.

Comments: I ordered my TSF Shoulder Relief girth last month and all I can say is: Thank You! My horse loves getting girth galls... fleece? Yep. Elastic? They're the worst. Leather? Yep, even leather. This girth is the ONLY girth that stays far enough out of his armpits to not give him galls. As soon as I can afford it, I will be getting the sheepskin cover as well. I am buying converters for all of my saddles so I can use them with every one: Western or English! Thanks for helping me and my horse, he really appreciates that we can go for long rides again!
