Soft in hand and durableI really like this flat braided cotton lead line because it stays soft with age, unlike the various nylon lead lines, and holds up better than the round cotton lead lines that tend to fray in the well-used areas. I don't care for the taped end, but it is not coming off and is never handled because of the knot. The knot at the end comes in handy with its extra weight when swinging. At the hitching post it is harder for a horse to untie the rope due to the knot.

Comments: Love this lead rope! The cotton is soft, yet the build is very sturdy. I did not like the self-knot at the end to "close" the braiding so I tied it off with twine to make sure it doesn't fray any more than it did when it came to me. Planning to buy more spares!

Comments: About to order my second one, just in case something happens to my first. The most likely "something" is that it gets "borrowed" by someone and never returned, because it's a great lead rope. It's really well made and doesn't fray or fall apart like many other cotton leads. One of our barn guys even commented how much he liked it and asked where he get one for his horse.

Comments: This lead rope has a really nice feel in the hand. It is soft and substantial. The snap is the perfect size: much smaller than the snaps on similar size regular twisted cotton leads. This makes it quite suitable for snapping onto the side of a halter for leading.
