The inner shell is constructed from a polystyrene lining to provide better dissipation of energy produced upon impact. History:
Samshield Helmets were initially only available in France when Sam Maloigne left his motocross profession and took his expertise from working as an Oakley Eyewear Sales Manager and started riding horses. Finding current models of helmets not up to par with the technical, customization, and comfort standards he was accustomed to in the motocross world, he set out to design something up to his discerning standards, and offer it to riders looking for the best. Thus, Samshield was born as a brand, tested by top professionals, and is sold around the globe with incredible success.

Measuring: To measure for a helmet, use a soft measuring tape and take the measurement right above the eyebrow, around the fullest part of the head.

Comments: Bought this helmet when it first came out and have been in love with it ever since! I have since abandoned my external sun visor since the wide brim of this helmet is sufficient. The removable lining is definitely a huge plus because I sweat profusely every time I ride.
