Please note that while we want you to be happy with your purchases, an excessive number of used returns within a twelve-month period may limit your eligibility for store credit.

Featuring Hermann Oak leather with a rounded noseband, this side pull is durable and has an attractive look. It has slight rigidity that is typical for a side pull and provides light control. The sides feature rings that are right next to the horse's muzzle and are where the reins attach to so that you can use a direct rein or neck rein your horse.

Good quality but seesawsI returned the Professional Choice Schutz Rounded Leather Side Pull because it was too large for my horse's muzzle. The rounded leather noseband was stiff and quite wide -- it arched out with inches to spare on each side of his muzzle; my horse wears "horse" or "average" size. I did not feel comfortable ratcheting down the noseband to try to conform it to his muzzle by tightening the curb strap - it would make it hard for him to open his mouth, and the noseband is stiff enough to "bite." The wide noseband, along with the absence of a jowl strap, resulted in the Side Pull seesawing side to side over my horse's face when turning his head on a direct rein, drawing the straps too close to his eyes. (This is a common issue, I think, with side pulls without jowl straps.) I know new leather is stiff, but the noseband is quite thick (like a cigar), so I didn't imagine it softening with use. Disappointing, because it's very attractive and well-made with good quality leather. It would be helpful if Professional Choice or RW had a video on their respective websites showing this product properly fitted.
