Measuring Guide:
Collect both measurements while seated with the leg at a 90 degree angle using a cloth measuring tape. Wear the breeches and socks that you would wear while measuring. Have an additional person take the measurements for best accuracy.
For Calf Height - Measure from where the heel rests on the ground to the bend of the knee. Add approximately 1/2-3/4" in height to allow for drop.
For Calf Width - Measure the circumference of the widest part of the calf.

Comments: I absolutely LOVE these boots. The color is absolutely gorgeous and they required almost no break-in time. The footbed is super comfortable, I am usually an 8.5 or 9 and tried on the 9.0 Slim/Tall but the calf was too big, the size 8.0 was perfect and not even a little bit small so I think the foot runs a little large. The leather is soft without losing the structure of the boot and bunching around the ankles. HOWEVER, I would give them 4 out of 5 stars due to durability. I've had them for about 10 months and ride one horse 6 days a week (occasionally more on the weekends). The design on the calf has an elastic panel with leather in between and there are holes where the leather meets the elastic that are getting bigger every day, so I will soon need new boots. It isn't really a situation where they could be repaired, just a flaw in the design which is a huge shame as I would absolutely buy them again.

Comments: I have loved the look of these boots from the start but really think they need to be redesigned. The foot runs very large, I'm usually a 9 and had to return for a size 8. I ride 1-3 horses 7 days per week and have had these for less than 6 months. The seam on the calf is coming undone and is identical on both legs. Really disappointed because I bought these due to Mountain Horse's high ratings for durability. The toe is also strangely long, not enough that a foot could fill it out but enough to get scuffed every time I walk because it makes them awkwardly larger. I would love to buy these again but they are just not made to last. Would not recommend.
