Bristle Stiffness
Made to lightly dust, spread natural oils, and polish the horse's coat, these brushes are gentle on skin and hair. Bristles bend easily and flick dust and debris off. They can also be called "finishing" brushes.
Often containing multiple bristle materials, these brushes dust while also grabbing larger chunks of debris. Medium brushes are tougher on grime, skin, and hair yet still have flexible bristles.
Meant for raking dirt and debris off the coat, these bristles are not flexible and are toughest on skin and hair. Large clumps of debris and loose hair get trapped in the inflexible bristles and are brushed off.

Comments: This one is a "no" for me. The hairs were falling out of this brush as soon as I took it out of the box. I had my reservations but used it on a horse and found it to be just way too soft to have much of any effect. I ended up with a horse that still had a dusty face, with the addition of a light coating of goat hairs.
