Kiwi Helix Adjustable Collapsible Slow Feeder Gen II
Overview
Updated to make the slow-feeding experience even better, the HelixFeeder with Adjustable Holes Gen. II from KiwiFeeder offers a safe way to slow down your enthusiastic eater at home and on the go!
Designed to mimic the horse's natural head-down grazing position, this feeder collapses as your horse eats providing the added benefit of never obscuring their vision. The unique construction uses no strings, netting, or ropes, ensuring even shod horses cannot get tangled. It can hold up to 40 lbs of hay for multiple days of feeding, however, it works just as well with smaller amounts.
The updated design features a more durable mesh construction with reinforcement along the top to protect it from aggressive eaters. This slow-feeder is fully UV-rated so the sun won't deteriorate it and it can withstand temperatures from -40 to +50 degrees.

Additional Information
Warranty Notice:
Securing the feeder to a wall or post while feeding on the ground is not covered under Kiwi Feeder's warranty. That said, if you need to secure the feeder, Kiwi Feeder suggests using a soft bungy cord.
Kiwi Feeder Hold Size:
The manufacturer suggests that 3.5" holes be used for horses up to 16hh and 4" holes be used for horses over 16hh. The RW crew suggests that if you plan to use this feeder for alfalfa, you consider using it with 4" holes.
The new adjustable plate features 5 pre-set adjustments to allow you to select a feed hole size between 3 inches and 4¾ inches in size. It takes just 5 minutes to rotate the plates to make a feed hole adjustment. Like the previous feed plates, the MultiPlate can take any horse abuse, it’s extremely robust at just under ¾” inches thick. The MultiPlate system also works with previous HelixFeeders.
About KiwiFeeders:
KiwiFeeders started making horse feeders after their first horse, Kiwi, developed laminitis over 10 years ago. They were not satisfied with the options for slow feeders that were available at the time with the ability to soak hay. There were almost non-existent or extremely expensive. After rigorous testing and development, they created their first slow feeder, the KiwiFeeder. Through the success of the Kiwi's design, they developed the HelixFeeder. The HelixFeeder has all the benefits of the KiwiFeeder but with great portability and large hay capacity. They believe it is the best slow feeder in the market today.
KiwiFeeders have been making the HelixFeeder for over 4 years and it has become their main feeder. It is being used with horses of all sizes, minis, donkeys, goats, and in commercial horse boarding stables.
They are a Canadian business and their feeders are manufactured in Canada.
