Kentucky Performance Products Endura-Max Electrolyte
Overview
Providing the optimum ratio of electrolytes necessary to support maximum performance levels and speedy recovery during and after long distance training and competition Kentucky Performance Products Endura-Max Electrolyte Powder provides a unique formula to meet the specific needs of the endurance performance horse.
Unlike average performance horses, endurance horses engage in low-intensity, long-duration exercise which depletes electrolytes within the body systems differently than horses with high-intensity, short-duration exercise. Because electrolyte balance is critical for maintenance of health and performance, replacement of all the lost electrolytes is crucial during and after exercise.
Endura-Max is specifically formulated to restore the key electrolytes lost in sweat, including sodium, chloride, potassium, as well as calcium and magnesium (two ingredients often missing from traditional electrolyte formulas) to keep your horse on the trail longer and recovering faster.

General Guidelines for Dosage: For immediate oral supplementation, we recommend mixing Endura-Max in a syringe with water or another carrier, such as yogurt or applesauce. For pre-loading prior to the start of competition, Endura-Max can be mixed with the grain or administered orally.
1-2 ounces the night before competition, 1-2 ounces prior to starting competition, and 1-2 ounces at every vet check. Actual amount needed will depend on the level of exercise, stress, temperature, and humidity. Be sure your horse is drinking 8-10 gallons of water a day. Always best to be conservative with electrolytes and not serve over 12 scoops of electrolytes in a day.
Recommended dosage varies with level of training and environment; approximately 80 1oz servings per bucket.
What Makes Kentucky Electrolytes Different:
Unlike other electrolytes, Endura-Max contains added calcium and magnesium. During long rides, calcium and magnesium may be lost in amounts high enough to result in such metabolic disorders as thumps and tying-up. Calcium and magnesium are added to Endura-Max in highly available forms so they are quickly absorbed and made available for your horse to use.
Many other commercial electrolytes contain as much as 85% dextrose (sugar). The concentration of electrolytes in Endura-Max is uniquely high and it contains a minimal amount of sugar.
Previous Feedback
Comments: This is my go-to electrolyte for my endurance horses. I use a different one for every day training, but this one makes a noticeable difference in my horses during competitions of 50+ miles. I begin feeding it in beet pulp mashes two days before we begin trailering to a competition, then add it to their beet pulp mashes at every vet check/hold. Over several decades of competing, this is definitely the best, most effective electrolyte I've used!

Comments: My endurance Arab happily eats this mixed dry with his feed or wet with his slop. We are not currently competing at a level where I'm making oral syringes yet, but I dont think he'd mind it either. He drinks really great when I use it.
