Overview

Protect your horse from hindgut acidosis with EquiShure® created by the scientists at Kentucky Equine Research! Developed for horses at risk of or suspected of having hindgut acidosis, a condition where excess lactic acid is present in the hindgut. This supplement is designed for all horses at risk of suffering from this condition. By utilizing encapsulation technology, the buffering agent is able to reach the target area of the G.I. tract without losing effectiveness. EquiShure® is recommended for horses on high grain diets or in lush pastures, horses experiencing weight loss, unexplained behavioral problems or loose stools, horses prone to colic or laminitis, and horses under the stress of training and traveling.

Can help with loose stoolsI have a horse that gets loose stools excessively when I ride and sometimes at home. I have done psyllium and other solutions several times. This product does seem to work but I wish it were in pellet form. I have to add molasses or apple sauce to bind it to his grain. It is essentially baking soda with something else.

Equishire Hindgut BufferThis product is amazing! My horse has all the symptoms of Free Fecal Water Syndrome. Anyone who has dealt with this issue knows how frustrating it can be. Last winter the hair on my horse's backside was burned right off from the caustic runny nature of this syndrome. Living in Michigan made it difficult to keep him clean in the freezing temperatures. After doing my own research I discovered this buffer product. You simply mix it in with the grain. My horse ate it without a problem. I used the entire bag with that flare up, but he got results soon after starting the product. I discontinued using it at that time, but if the issue starts again, it seems like a few days on the product and he is fine. Thank you, KER!
