Excellent for my young mareMy mare is unable to use a bit due to previous trauma. She has a smaller head, and the cob size fits her perfectly. She goes beautifully in this bridle and is very happy on our trail rides. It's good quality and very adjustable. We have been very happy with this purchase and have been using it for 2 years now.
Denver Padded Bitless BridleI've been riding my horses with a rope halter for years and decided to try a fancier approach to my bitless riding. I purchased this bridle based on appearance as it looked secure. It wasn't. I followed the suggested measurements for fitting it to one of my horses. She seemed fine at first but was not as responsive as she typically is. As we continued to work, she began to shake her head and leaped and bucked several times and put me on the ground. I have owned this mare since weaning, started her myself, driven her in harness, and ridden her after being let down for years, and she has always been a kind and willing mare. She has never been resentful. Also, when I left the saddle, the bridle slipped off over her head. Fortunately, she just stood and looked at me as if she didn't understand what just happened. I returned to riding her with her rope halter and she has been her old self. I'm not sure if it was the bridle, but it did seem to pinch her slightly when placed per the instructions.
