Brim reviewThis brim looks good and is easy to put on helmets. However the wire in the edge trim is easily bent out of shape. In order to keep it looking good be careful how you put it away.
Useful and it does stay onI recently bought a second brim (gave the first to a friend). The fabric is now more see-through than the previous one but it works just as well, and it seems like it’s been holding its shape better too. I rode in very high winds and I have to say I was very happy it stayed on while all the cowboy hats where taking off
It’s a good purchase and I think this one is better than another common brand because you can still see through this one while the other blocks your sight entirely and it bothers me, as I really like to be able to SEE when I ride.
Highly recommend!Helmet Brims are outstanding sun and rain protection, and wind goes through the mesh. They stay in place, are extremely durable, and look great too!
Sun brimI love my sun brim. It is well made. The strong elastic holds it on great, plus it has two hidden velcro spots for extra security. It looks really good on my helmet. It makes it look like a cowboy hat. When my husband saw it he said "I would wear a helmet if I had one of those!"
Aussie Helmet Brim for HelmetThis is actually my second helmet brim. When I replaced my helmet, I decided to replace my helmet brim as well because the original was dusty and well-used. I loved my original brim, but this one has a deficiency. I could actually see through the older helmet brim, which was important for ducking under tree limbs and foliage. However, the company has changed fabrics, and I can't see anything through the new fabric. In fact, I have thought about returning it. Otherwise, it works as well as the original: mounting is easy, brim does not come off, prevents sun exposure, classic good looks.
Great, but only partial coverageI was really excited to try this out, as our trail rides often take place in relentless sun, there is just no way around it. Having this brim keeps the sun out of your eyes and off the back of your neck, but the sides of your face are still exposed which is why I give it 4 stars and not 5.
Great brim!Love this brim. Easy to attach, stays on well, looks good, and gives decent sunshade. I get lots of compliments on it.
Sun visorIt was easy to put on and has stayed on. Nice shade for my neck and nose.
Didn't Hold ShapeAfter only a few months of being very careful not to bend or flatten it, it lost its shape. Very disappointed.

Stylish brimI love this brim. You can make it permanent with Velcro strips or take it off when it rains. I also like the choice of colors that match your helmet. They are also light so it doesn’t weigh down your helmet.

Does not hold shape after a whileI really liked this visor when I first got it. Sadly, after about a year of use, it won’t retain its original shape. It’s bent funny so that it looks really ugly and it doesn’t shade from the sun where it should. I kept it for 6 months under a weight to see if I could reshape it but there was no way. So disappointing…
3 out of 43 of the 4 brims I ordered were 5 stars, however they are delicate. The 4th one had the wire around brim sticking out. Overall nice brim unless you get a broken one.

Standard Brim VisorThis was a great addition to my helmet! I thought it would need an additional band or something, but it looked good without. I appreciate how flexible it is, so it can be shaped like a cowboy hat or just a shade hat.
Stays onProvides good shade and visibility. It's not really removable as both parts of the velcro will come off, probably depending on the material of the helmet shell. Despite that, the brim does stay put even in a pretty stiff wind/galloping. The material used helps with that. I would love it if there were hooks on the brim to attach to the existing visor of the helmet and the back of the helmet for added security. It seems more durable that the previous Troxel straw brim that I had before, but that one had a pocket for the helmet brim and also hooks which was maybe more secure.
Helmet Brim You Can ShapeI like this helmet brim because you can shape it to look like a cowboy hat. This is my second one. I liked it so much I bought another.
Mostly WonderfulThis Helmet Brims visor is well made and extremely comfortable but expensive! It also comes with no instructions on how best to securely attach it to your helmet. I had to ask other riders for guidance.
Better Sun Visor OptionSo many helmet brims are too wide and look ridiculous! This is a much safer option than hell-hats, even the Western helmet from Resistol. Light, airy, flexible, looks great, and does the job of blocking the sun.

Brim for HelmetI have previously used the HellHat brims with real Western hat brims, but they're too heavy for my neck. This brim is so lightweight I don't even know it's there. I need the extra coverage due to past skin cancer issues. I recommend this brim!

Glare Gone!This is an excellent brim to block out the sun. What I like best is its size: it's not too big to look awkward but big enough to block out the glare and sunshine while trail riding. Also gives that "wrangler" look for your helmet, additionally making it a fashion statement. Highly recommend it.
PerfectProvides needed and wanted shade. It lets air/wind flow through so there's no pulling back when galloping or in windy weather. It fits my helmet like a glove and has not slipped on the helmet.
Stays on great. Looks good on the helmet. Makes some helmets look like a Western hat when matching the brim color to the helmet cover. I get many compliments on it.
Goofy but GreatIt is wide and I felt a little silly wearing it at first, but I really do love it. It does the job of keeping the sun off my face, keeps me cooler, it's lightweight, and I can see through it. It also stays in place better than I thought it would. I'm also starting to see more in peace more and more people wearing these. Smart.
We Love these BrimsSuper lightweight, fun colors, air flow, but shade too when out on the trail during a sunny day. I am very sensitive to any additional weight on my helmet. I get headaches very easily and have returned other shade visors because of that. This one has been perfect and I barely notice it. And I can pull it off easily to hang during the winter months.
Nice shade visor for helmetsI like this visor. It’s light, has a good amount of shade for the face and neck, and isn’t too ugly. My only complaint is that I wish the wire in the brim was the kind that would allow me to adjust the shape.
Amazing Sun VisorThis riding sun visor is the best one I have used. I like how I can look up and see through it when trail riding. It prevents me from having to tilt my head way back. I also like how super lightweight it is. I have used a DaBrim before which I appreciate, especially if it rains, but the Helmet Brims is the perfect summer visor. So far no issues with it not staying exactly where I place it on my helmet. Highly recommend.
Great product!This helmet brim arrived quickly. It easily attaches to my helmet, stays in place, and it provides protection from the sun. I now have 2 of these brims.
Sun blocking Helmet BrimI purchased 4 of these for Troxel Spirit helmets. They are great! Easy to attach since they come with velcro already on them. Just peal off the backing and stick to the helmet. These have a wired edge on the brim which makes it easy to adjust the shape. Great for shielding face, neck and ears from sunburns. They provide some shade so we think they actually make us feel cooler as we trail ride.

Sun Visor is greatI love this sun visor. It is super lightweight, has a great shape, and I can see through it when looking up a hill without having to tilt my head awkwardly. Definitely recommend it.
Summer shadeI've been wearing a DaBrim for a decade and it's been great, but for the summer I bought the riding sun visor and it's great. Light as a feather and doesn't blow around in the wind, I have been wearing it around because it's so light and comfortable. The DaBrims are great and last forever but this is light and cool.
Love this!I'm heat-sensitive, sun sensitive, and stubborn. I refuse to miss out on being on my horse even if it's sunny or hot. This brim for my helmet is perfect!! I love it so much that sometimes I forget that I'm not wearing a hat and actually my riding helmet. My face gets more protection and the back of my neck does too. I also receive more protection from the rain. I am definitely getting this again. I only wish it came with more Velcro strips so that when you have to replace your helmet you have new enough strips for more than just one helmet.

Comments: This is a hit at our barn! I like the fact that it isn't necessary to use the velcro that comes with the visor as I don't want that on my helmet when I'm not using the visor. The visor stays on my hardhat without it.
