A great, tasty low-sugar pill pocketIf you are looking for a tasty, low-sugar pill pocket for your PPID horse on one pink Prascend tablet, try this. I soak pieces in warm water to soften, make room for 1/2 tablet, press/form the two pieces together, and serve it up to my horse. Another nice product this company makes is Special Lite Low Carb/Low Fat Pellets intended for horses that would benefit from a lower carb diet. Made in Oregon.
Nicker nibblesMy horses like these treats and think they're mainly alfalfa pellets. However, they fall apart and my bag is mostly crumbs now. It is easy to just put a few in your pocket and they're not sticky.
Horse treatMy horse likes them. They are kind of hard, so I hit them with a hammer and made smaller pieces.
Choking HazardI was looking forward to these treats as they were low sugar. I wasn’t expecting very large cylindrical pellets. These are very, very hard and I felt they could possibly be a choking hazard. I even tried soaking them and they didn’t break down. I threw them out, no sense returning something that may cause harm.
YummyMy pony loves these treats, and they are low sugar so he can have lots (he may be slightly spoiled). They are also inexpensive and one bag lasts forever.
My favorite treatsThese are the most cost friendly low sugar treats I have found and they come in large amounts! I always order at least 2 bags and my horses love them!

Best horse treat ever!My horses all love this treat. It smells incredible and my mares go for these in their buckets first before any of their grain. Easy to stuff in a pocket and a 10lb bag goes a long way.

Know what is in your treats.Read the label of your treats. There are usually lots more ingredients than you think. These treats only have alfalfa and blueberries. They come as as a hard piece that does not crumble in your pocket. My only caution would be for horses that cannot chew something hard or that cannot eat alfalfa. My horse loves these treats. They even smell like blueberries! I have been buying them for several years.

Picky Mare ApprovedThese treats smell amazing, and all of my horses love them. Two of my girls are a bit picky, and even they love these treats. I get a few bags at a time, store them in 5 gallon buckets, and give them a few in their nightly buckets. Good value and highly palatable.
My horse loves these!My horse loves these treats! They vary in size and are a bit hard, so I wouldn't recommend these for horses with teeth problems. I love that they don’t crumble in my pocket. I also love the ingredients and the fact that they’re low in sugar. They’re also reasonably priced. They’re a bit hard to find; so grateful that Riding Warehouse carries them!

Best thing to put in a treat ball!My horse loves these, and they are just the right size for a treat ball. Some are a little smaller and come out easily and some are longer and more challenging. Either way, he thinks they are delicious and well worth the effort to get out!
Great horse cookies!I've never had a horse refuse these cookies and they are great for clicker training. They have all absolutely loved them and they smell so good. I order a few bags at a time and give them to my girls in their nightly buckets.
Perfectly simple!These are great large treats that my horse devours. They smell like berries/cranberries and have no sweetener added. I love adding them to my horse’s Amazing Graze toy. A great treat, but some pieces are fairly big in comparison to others. I wouldn’t recommend feeding them for positive reinforcement training unless you use them more infrequently as a bigger reward.

Best treats for horses needing low sugar!I love these treats for my ponies! I am very careful about their sugar intake so these are great and everyone goes crazy for them!
Great product, very affordable priceI have a 17-year-old TWH mare with insulin dysregulation, the nightmare of the “thrifty” or easy keeper breeds. Managing her health has been a process of take aways - no carrots, no apples, no turnout to graze… but these treats - made of alfalfa, cranberry, and berry flavoring are perfection!! I have never met a horse that didn't love them!!

Comments: One of my horses eats a low-sugar diet. I bought these cookies for him, but all of my horses love them! They are also an awesome size, like a chunk of carrot. They don't crumble in my pockets or dissolve when they get wet, which is so important in a hot and humid Missouri summer. From now on, I will have to add a bag to every RW order.

The amount of treats you get for the price is incredible since treats can be on the pricey side. We are able to feed a whole barn of horses without breaking the bank. Great to take to shows as well.
