Key Features

  • Wide FootbedWide Footbed

Stirrups with a wide footbed provide a larger surface area for the rider's foot, helping distribute pressure for improved stability, control, and comfort. This design is popular amongst riders of various disciplines.

  • Extra GripExtra Grip

Stirrups with extra grip or aggressive tread provide added traction to help keep the rider's foot securely in place. This feature is especially useful for riders traveling at speed or jumping, where a steady leg position is essential.

  • Quick Release SystemQuick Release System

Quick-release stirrups are designed to open under pressure, so a rider's foot can disengage during a fall. Some feature a hinged arm that releases from the top or side, while others use an open design where the foot can slip free more easily.

  • Offset/Angeled EyeletOffset/Angeled Eyelet

Stirrups with offset or angled eyelets help riders achieve proper position in the irons. The angled eyelet encourages the foot to turn inward (Ideally, a rider's foot sits at about a 45-degree angle; the outside branch slightly forward and the inside slightly back.) allowing the rider to apply leg aids more effectively.

Weight

  • Light Weight

Lightweight stirrups (under 1 lb) are favored by riders who prefer lighter tack for performance riding and competitions. A drawback of this weight is that a lost stirrup can be harder to retrieve due to its lighter build.

  • Medium Weight

Midweight stirrups (1-1.5 lbs) offer a balanced feel that many riders prefer for everyday riding and competing. They provide enough weight for easy stirrup retrieval while still keeping tack relatively light.

  • Heavy Weight

Heavyweight stirrups (over 1.5 lbs) are preferred by riders who want maximum stability and easy stirrup retrieval. The added weight helps the stirrups hang in place, making them favored by dressage riders.

The Freejump Soft'Up Classic+ Single Branch Stirrup Irons offer incredible functionality and a sporty design. These are just like your favorite Freejump Classic stirrups but with an even wider platform for greater grip, stability, and comfort!

These single-branch stirrups feature a 27% wider carbon footbed with tilted steel nubs for increased grip and security, while also alleviating pressure points on the arch of the foot. Absorbing three times the shock of a traditional stirrup, your ankles and knees will feel relief from excess pressure and your horse will feel better too. With a center of gravity set towards the front, these stirrups even help keep your weight down in your heels. The flexible Elastollan® outer branch helps to free the rider's foot in case of a fall, giving you extra peace of mind. Innovative, sporty style, and available in a variety of colors, the Freejump Classic+ stirrups are the perfect choice for any rider looking for the top equestrian gear!

Additional Information

Care Instructions:

  1. Use a slightly damp hard-bristled brush to clean the floor (the area with the studs that hold the boot sole). This method effectively removes dirt and debris accumulated on the floor.
  2. Carefully wipe the other parts of the stirrups with a soft cloth and hot water to remove dust and dirt without damaging the surfaces.
  3. Let the stirrups air dry. This prevents any corrosion and ensures the longevity of the stirrups.
  4. Caution: use the hard-bristled brush only for the footbed to avoid damaging the other parts. Regular maintenance ensures the durability and proper functioning of your stirrups.

WELL Worth the Money!I took a chance on these. I looked and looked and LOOKED for a stirrup with a wide (but not 4"+, too wide for my small feet!) footbed, safety features so I don't get hung up, AND that would fit the 1.5" leathers on my specialized endurance saddle. These fit. And holy cow, I LOVE them! The foot pain I was experiencing on long rides? Gone. The stiff ankles (not helped by multiple injures)? Also gone. I can't recommend these enough and am currently saving up for pairs for all of my saddles!
