Designed for aggressive use over varying terrain that consists of long-distance riding or other high concussion disciplines. Catered to handle high mileage (about 50-100+ miles) during a single day or over a week, these hoof boots have a low profile design and provide a secure fit to protect hooves from issues caused by increased riding time.
Recreational RidingRecreational Riding
Best for low to mid mileage riding (<25-50 miles a week), these hoof boots are for more casual use. A great replacement if your horse loses a shoe on the trail, while traveling, or at home. An ideal option for the tender-footed horse or as extra protection during light turnout. These are not designed for aggressive or 23/7 use and should not be used in such cases.
TurnoutTurnout
Designed for near-constant 23/7 use to protect hooves during a variety of turnout conditions. A horse is more likely to damage or pull off a hoof boot by playing, chewing, rolling, etc., when turned out at liberty. Regularly take turnout hoof boots off for evaluation and maintenance, and allow them to air out in between uses to help prevent bacteria buildup.
TherapyTherapy
These hoof boots provide the ultimate hoof comfort during medical treatments, stall rest, rehab, or trailering. Aimed to treat a variety of pathological issues to offer relief and concussion support, commonly to lame horses. Therapy hoof boots are not intended for riding or exercise and should not be used in such circumstances.
The Explora Magic Hoof Boots offer unbeatable versatility to keep your horse's hooves protected no matter where your ride takes you.
These lightweight, low-maintenance hoof boots feature fully customizable fitting options, adapting both vertically and horizontally. They can even be thermoformed in the lower half of the boot's wall to adapt to different angles and irregularities if needed. Designed to offer comfort and freedom for your horse, these boots have a soft and breathable padded liner, an active frog that allows for flexibility and connection with the ground, side windows for natural hoof expansion, and an all-terrain sole with drainage holes for use on even those wet trails. In addition, the shape of the sole allows for the pushing force of stepping to fall on the heel area instead of the soft bulb area, supporting natural movement. Available in a variety of colors, the Explora Magic boots can even be coordinated to match your other gear.
Please Note: Replacement parts are no longer included with purchase, however, they are still available for purchase. All replacement parts are linked in the below.
My mare is a believer in boots againI had tried a different brand several years ago. My mare ended up becoming so unhappy with them it became difficult to even get the boots on her. I switched to traditional metal shoes for several years as a result of her distaste for boots. This last spring, she moved to a barn that uses round bale nets on the round bales, so shoes were not an option for her. I decided, after much research, to give Explora Magic boots a try. She was reluctant at first but, within two rides, was happy to help me put her boots on. Now she actually pushes her foot into the boot to help get it on. Safe to say she loves them! I did have a Farrier help me fit them when they arrived because it is a bit complicated. She is between sizes on one front hoof, so I need to use hoof tape on that hoof before I put it on to keep it from twisting when we ride. It's an easy fix though so no big deal at all. We've put a couple hundred miles on the boots through water, mud, pavement, jumping, etc. and all the gaits with no issues. Super happy with the choice to use Explora boots. Would absolutely choose them again.

Comments: Love, love, love these boots. I have tried many different brands and these are the best only ones I have found that really stay on!! From: Anonymous
Comments: I bought these boots for my rescue horse who has thin soles and underrun heels because he needed some extra protection during the hoof rehab process. I typically buy Easyboot products but decided to give these boots a try because I liked the fun colors. I like the concept, but there are some pretty significant design flaws in these boots. The heel padding DOES NOT stay in place. I get that they wanted to make the heel pads replaceable, but the flimsy attachment prongs just flat out don't work. The straps are also extremely hard to secure. I had these boots on my horse for half a day while he was turned out. Not only did he lose one of the boots within a couple of hours, but the boots rubbed all four of his heels so badly within that few hours that his heels have abscessed. And yes, I ordered the correct size and adjusted them properly. Maybe these boots are great for horses with healthy, balanced feet, but they are 100% not for therapeutic protective use on horses undergoing hoof rehab. I wish I would have stuck to the Easyboots, because now I have an even more miserable horse with abscesses blowing out the heels on all four feet. From: Elaine - Wanette, OK 7/26/22
