Best Use

  • Performance RidingPerformance Riding

Designed for aggressive use over varying terrain that consists of long-distance riding or other high concussion disciplines. Catered to handle high mileage (about 50-100+ miles) during a single day or over a week, these hoof boots have a low profile design and provide a secure fit to protect hooves from issues caused by increased riding time.

  • Recreational RidingRecreational Riding

Best for low to mid mileage riding (<25-50 miles a week), these hoof boots are for more casual use. A great replacement if your horse loses a shoe on the trail, while traveling, or at home. An ideal option for the tender-footed horse or as extra protection during light turnout. These are not designed for aggressive or 23/7 use and should not be used in such cases.

  • TurnoutTurnout

Designed for near-constant 23/7 use to protect hooves during a variety of turnout conditions. A horse is more likely to damage or pull off a hoof boot by playing, chewing, rolling, etc., when turned out at liberty. Regularly take turnout hoof boots off for evaluation and maintenance, and allow them to air out in between uses to help prevent bacteria buildup.

  • TherapyTherapy

These hoof boots provide the ultimate hoof comfort during medical treatments, stall rest, rehab, or trailering. Aimed to treat a variety of pathological issues to offer relief and concussion support, commonly to lame horses. Therapy hoof boots are not intended for riding or exercise and should not be used in such circumstances.

The Ultra Jogging Shoe Hoof Boots by Equine Fusion are uniquely designed to provide your horse with ultimate comfort and superior performance. A breathable upper is combined with a soft and adjustable two-strap locking mechanism, making it easy to put on and adaptable for horses with a variety of hoof shapes and sizes. Renowned for its thick, treaded design, the All Terrain sole provides horses with the grip and shock absorption they need on the trail. The flexible, elastic design is created to support natural hoof function and enables hooves to sink down into the rubber sole and maintain full contact. This encourages improved blood flow and healthy hooves! Perfect for hitting the trail or even rehabbing horses with lower limb and hoof problems, the Ultra Jogging Shoe provides the best of both worlds for your horse when it comes to comfort and performance.

These boots are suitable for horses in rehabilitation from lower limb/hoof problems, such as; laminitis, hoof sensitivity, abscesses, etc. It is recommended to consult with your vet and/or farrier prior to therapeutic use.

Additional Information

Note from the Manufacturer:

  • The amount of grip will change if the surface is wet. Always consider safety for horse and rider regarding wet/dry surfaces.
  • The seam inside the shoe is only to assemble shoe together and does not affect shoe integrity. If the seam comes apart, the shoe still works. Assembly needs to have some material to "grab" to put together.

Best boots for a Gaited Horse!I shoe my Peruvian Paso gelding half the year in front. He has a lot of termino (paddles) and wears the outside front quarters of his hoof without protection. I let him go barefoot during the winter, but if conditions are good for riding, we still trail ride some. That is when I use these boots. I just ordered my second pair as the first pair (bought 8 years ago) were starting to show some wear and I didn't want to ever be without them. Over the last 15 years I have tried almost every equine boot on the market. ALL will come off on a horse with termino. These are the ONLY boots that stay on. I have NEVER had one of these boots come off. And what I also love is that they are relatively easy to put on with my 70 year old arthritic hands. Anything with a cable is impossible for me now. These boots have two straps that need tightening. But before that, they open up wide enough that it is not difficult to get the boot on and in place. Then I get the strap threaded through the rings and can strap on the boot. I use a pair of pliers to grab the end of the strap and pull it tight as this would be very hard for my arthritic fingers. I keep that pair of pliers with the boots so they are always handy. I also keep one of those small gardening pads handy so I can get down on my knees without pain to do this. The boots wear well, have never rubbed my boy sore, even when first starting to use them. I can not recommend them enough.

Pros and cons and diminished qualitySix or seven years ago, I bought the Equine Fusion Ultra Jogging Hoof Boots and got a lot of use out of them. I then switched to shoeing my horse because of the cons of these boots I will explain below. This year, I gave the boots another try and order a pair. The "cons" of these boots remain the same. The manufacturer did not address them. Sadly, I found one more disadvantage in just three riding sessions due to the lower quality of the front clip supposed to keep the front strap in place. PROs: 1. The boots have really good cushioning, much better than any other boots I tried over the years, such as Renegade or EasyCare. 2. They mostly stay in place and do not slip and get off easily. However, with the front clip no longer being strong enough after just three rides, I wonder if the boots will stay in place in the next few rides. 3. No rub. I never had any rubbing of the pastern, contrary to what happened with other "clunky" boots like Cavallo. CONS: 1. These boots are not quickly and easily put on the horse, contrary to the Renegade. Allow for some time before a ride to put them on (in my experience, about 1/2 hour). 2. The boots should be considered a bit "clunky" like the Cavallo or some bigger boots. However that does not seem to affect performance as much as the other boots do. 3. The front strap gets loose, no matter whether I follow the manufacturer's instructions to keep it in place. I wish they would have an elastic loop like the Renegade loop. I tried securing the red front strap with duck tape without success. 4. With these new boots, after just 3 rides, the lock in front is not doing its job as well as it did with the older boots. Which means that the red front strap gets looser very quickly. I am quite disappointed with that front lock letting the strap loose after just 3 rides. I will be returning to shoes and get Renegades in case I lose a shoe on an endurance ride.

No Rubbing! These boots are very comfortable for the horse with no exposed seams that could could rub against the horse. They stay on very well, so I have no fear of them coming off. The sizing is very accurate, no need to size up or down. Fastening the straps is a little bit of a pain, but nothing too difficult. I highly recommend these boots!

These Boots Are AmazingI recently retired my warmblood and pulled his shoes but I still wanted to be able to trail ride him. I looked at several options for boots for him and finally landed on the Ultra Joggers. I am telling you, these boots are truly amazing. I followed their measurement instructions to a tee and they fit perfectly. I was skeptical at first. "Would they stay on? Will my horse be comfortable in them? Will they leave rubs or sores?" I put them on (and they are easy to put on) and he walked out like he didn't even seem to notice he had them on. In fear of rubs I started on small amounts of time 20 min. Yesterday we were out for 90 minutes and not one rub. We went through water, over rocky trails and he climbed a steep rocky hill like he was a mountain goat. I cannot say enough good things about these boots-I am happy and he is super happy to be able to get out and enjoy the trails pain free! Also, shout out to Riding Warehouse, I received the boots within 3 days of ordering them and they automatically sent a return label in case I needed to return or exchange them. That is superior customer service!

Great Boots and Great ServiceBuying hoof boots online is not for the faint of heart! I purchased these boots for my two horses and for both I needed to try multiple sizes. For anyone in the same boat, I found using an old towel to stand on and a gallon plastic storage bag to wrap the foot in before putting it in the boot the easiest way to keep the boots clean so they could be returned. Riding Warehouse sends the boots with prepaid return postage and good instructions on what to do. I returned two pair of the boots with no issues. I was so pleased with their service I felt compelled to write a review! Both horses were able to wear these boots 24/7 right out of the box. My mare had been in Scoots for riding but for turnout they were rubbing her heels. I was frankly shocked at how much more comfortable these boots were for her than the Scoots. She has been marching all over chunky ice, snow, and frozen ground like she has feet of steel. So fun to see! The boots also seem to have about the same amount of traction on ice that bare feet do. Better than steel shoes for sure! I did get a rub around the collar of the boot with my gelding so I just started using a little vet wrap for turnout. I am very happy with the boots! They do take a while to get on but it gets better with time and given how comfortable they are, and how well they stay on even during rough play in turnout. I am sold!
