Overview
Equi-Ping Breakaway Tie Tether Release is a very clever safety tether release for horses and ponies. The safety mechanism is super easy to open and close. Your lead rope will slip smoothly through the Equi-Ping, making this an easy and useful tool.
It's designed to be re-used over and over again and comes in a range of fun colors.
When tethering your horse you simply attach Equi-Ping to a convenient metal ring which may be on your stable wall, stall, or trailer and then tie your horse's lead rope to it. If your horse or pony panics and pulls back, the Equi-Ping is designed to "ping" open when a certain stress point is reached to help avoid injury to the horse.

Cross Tie SafetyFor young or spooky horses, great to attach to cross ties for safety. Unlike rusty metal, these will definitely release under pressure. I keep a pair in my brush box each with a double end snap. I clip the ping to the cross tie, and the snap to the halter.

Comments: We use these all the time and they are great as they break away when the horse pulls back. It has saved us many halters. The only drawback is when the horse pulls, the small plastic round piece holding it closed goes flying and can be difficult to find. So make sure you order a bright color!

Comments: I had a pair that lasted a couple years, they are a wonderful item in lieu of bailing twine. Recently both broke during routine use. I am unsure if it's because they hang to my trailer in the elements and were weakened, but I wish they had held up a bit longer.
