Overview
The EasyCare EasyShoe Versa Grip Octo - Hind (Pair) is a glue-on urethane horseshoe with integrated Finger Tabs that make the gluing process quick and easy. Simply stand the horse in the horseshoe and apply the tabs using Super Glue. Super Glue will hold strong for a full trim cycle and dries in about 10 minutes. No welding is required and the shoes can be reset if removed carefully. New Finger Tabs can also be welded for a reset. These durable shoes were recently used on a horse in a 100-mile endurance race; the horse placed second and the Octos shoes showed very little wear!

Versa Octo Grip Glue On ShoesThe shoes work well. Care needs to be taken to glue them on properly and also correct sizing is essential.
Great shoesThe Octos are great. My horse does really well with them. We compete in endurance and they hold up well. We completed Tevis with them. You can reset them a couple of times.
Love these shoesFirst of all, I have to confess that I am a die-hard barefoot horse owner. I have been barefoot with my horses for over 15 years. I do use boots for my camping/riding trips in the mountains, but over the past few years I have been disappointed in the performance of them, specifically with rubbing on the heel bulb area after long rides. I saw some videos of horse owners like me that want better hoof protection during the summer riding season but don't want traditional iron shoes nailed to my horses' feet. Watch all the videos by EasyCare and others, follow the instructions, and if you get the fit and prep right you will be pleased with the results.

Great option!Quite a process to apply, but no step is difficult. I followed the Easycare videos on the application and had hands-on help as well. My first application came off in a week. The second time I used the hoof buffy and wiped with alcohol after, that seemed to do the trick! Some tabs came loose over the 4 weeks I kept them on, I just snipped them off. I saw incredible sole growth, very happy. I will continue to use these as needed for gravel road and trail riding as my horse does not tolerate boots.
Octos HindsThe Octos Hinds seemed to help keep my mare from wearing her heels down on her hinds which is why I tried them.
