Overview
While all EasyCare shoes are designed with flexibility, protection, and performance in mind, the EasyShoe Race Light Front Pair combines those qualities with a full-urethane package. With no metal inserts, the Race Light is exceptionally lightweight, which encourages the horse to move out, important for those competing in disciplines judged on movement. The urethane material also provides durability and shock absorption, providing support to joints and connective tissue. The thin webbing of the Race Light allows the horse to sink further into the ground, increasing traction and grip, which are essential for disciplines that require speed and torque.
The Race Light has integrated cuffs that are designed specifically to work with EasyCare's gap-filling adhesives that include HoofLox Acrylic, HoofLox Urethane, and HoofLox Platinum. These types of adhesives are ideal for horses with asymmetrical hoof walls, allowing the Race Light to fit a wider variety of hoof shapes. And because this is a glue-on shoe, many horses see an improvement in hoof quality with the minimization of nail holes. An additional feature of the Race Light is the built-in frog support, developed with 3D Hoof Care Technology, who specialize in innovative pads and horseshoes. Frog support encourages blood flow and promotes hoof growth, as well as enhancing shock absorption through the support of the biomechanical function of the hoof capsule. If you are looking for a shoe that gets your horse close to being barefoot while also having the protection and stability of traditional shoes, then the Race Light is the option for you!

Fitting Instructions:
Please note: The EasyShoe Race Light sizes are not related to traditional metal shoe sizes. All measurements are in mm.
These shoes require a snug fit for successful application, so precise measurements are crucial for finding the correct size. Please measure the length and width of your horse's hoof using the instructions below, and utilize the EasyCare Fitting Assistant for further assistance. The Race Light is designed with extra length and width in the heel that can be removed with nippers, rasp, or grinder to match the hoof's length.
Sizing
| Size | Width | Length |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 114-118 | 125 |
| 4 | 118-122 | 128 |
| 5 | 122-126 | 130 |
| 6 | 126-131 | 136 |
| 7 | 131-136 | 142 |
| 8 | 136-142 | 148 |
Measuring Instructions:
- After a fresh trim, measure the width of the hoof across the bottom at the widest point.
- Measure the length of the hoof from the toe to the buttress line of the heel. The buttress line is the farthest weight-bearing point of the heel where the hoof wall ends. Do not include the heel bulbs in the measurement.
- Compare your measurement with the appropriate size chart. Please note that each boot style has its own unique size chart.
- Ideally, the length and width measurements will fit into the same size. If the length and width measurements indicate different sizes, select the larger size. If the hoof measurements fall close to the maximum length or width, we recommend choosing the next size up. If the width and length measurements are different by more than one size, your selected style is not recommended, and an alternative style may accommodate your horse's hoof shape better.
