A good hay bag for over-eaters!When I am traveling with my horses and mule for a backcountry pack trip, I definitely want them to have access to hay in the trailer whenever we're on the road, as it keeps them content and helps them catch up on nutrition if we've had some long, tough days on the trail. But my mule tends to be such a fast eater that she'll consume everything I put in the bag before we even cross a county line! And she's wasteful, too, as some of what she pulls out always drops to the trailer floor. That's where this slow-feed hay bag comes in handy, as the smaller openings restrict how much hay she can take in a bite. Smaller bites means less chance of spillage while also extending the time it takes for her to empty the bag. So it's a win-win as far as I'm concerned!
