Tough fly masksThese are pleasant looking and durable fly mask. I have used them they don’t rip easily and Velcro stays good with the design of one piece being sandwiched between two pieces makes the Velcro last longer.

Comments: I have always loved the Cashel fly mask we have used on our Arabs for years, but didn't feel like dishing out more money on them as we usually only have to use them a few weeks out of the year (free-range chickens do a great job in helping keep the fly population down). So, when I found these economy masks, with the same nice eye darts as the original, it fits our Arabs great. I love the color and our girls enjoy that these masks aren't as heavy; it's hot down here in FL! There is no forelock hole, but that has not been an issue-the mares don't care. I am extremely happy with my purchase and when I need to order new fly mask, I will definitely be ordering more of these.

Comments: As another reviewer said, the regular Crusader has additional features for a higher price. You have to see if you and your horse can live without them. We can so this works great for us. It is slightly less durable than the other in my experience as it is thinner. However, my horse is very sensitive and likes lighter things on her head. This mask is still going strong in it's second season with a just a slight tear which affects it aesthetics more than its function. Speaking of aesthetics, the color is a lot more appealing on my copper red chestnut compared to the regular steel gray Crusader.

Comments: This eco version doesn't have some of the regular crusader features -- forelock hole and reinforced nose, and is a lighter, less stiff material. Might not stand up to wear and tear but does the job for a growing yearling.

Comments: Cashel Econo Crusader Fly Mask, size Arab/Cob, purchased for my 14.1 hh Arab mare, I like the tan color which should be cooler than black fly masks for summer use and looks nicer than grey on a chestnut, although that is secondary to a good fit and functionality. Fit is true to size. I am happy with this brand of fly masks in general having purchased them for years in this size and horse size.

I like the tan color which should be cooler than black fly masks in the summer and it looks nicer on my chestnut horse than a grey mask, although color is secondary to good fit and functionality. I am pleased with Cashel fly masks in general and have used them for years in Arab/Cob and Horse size. I already posted a review for this mask, but want to add that the fabric is also of a lighter weight than regular Cashel masks, which I like for hot weather. My mare dislikes having her ears covered, except when the gnats are biting, so I have both kinds available.
