Very Nice Stampede Strings/StrapVery nice and well made braided leather stampede strings at a reasonable price for the craftsmanship. They are not small or discreet. They're a significant and noticeable addition to your hat but they are attractive. The pins work exactly as made. If you try to put the stampede strings away inside your hat when not in use, do know that you will very uncomfortably feel its small metal loops just below the inside band, making your virtually unwearable without pain. I have found the best way to comfortably wear your hat when the stampede strings are not in use is to put them behind your head.
I do not take the stampede strings out when they are not in use because I haven't wanted to put needless wear and tear on the inside pins. Whether riding in the wind or in a convertible car, this addition will definitely save your hat from blowing away. It has saved me from losing a beautiful and expensive 30X fur felt Stetson. Recommended!
