Great pad, tight on high withersMy OTTB prefers going bareback & doesn't protest this pad too much.
It does compress on his shark withers so I'm not able to tighten the girth as much as I should without hurting him. However it's comfy to ride on, doesn't slip (even loosely girthed) & wipes clean with a damp rag.

Comments: I don't need a bareback pad that provides a ton of grip, but the seat of this one is insanely slippery. The fabric is plush and soft like a stuffed animal and seems like a bad joke. My horse has very high withers and I felt like I was on a slide going back toward his butt, even in full seat breeches, especially at a trot. I kept having to stop and scoot myself forward every few minutes, which is not something I've had to do with other pads. If you want to increase the difficultly of riding bareback then this is the pad to get. I'm guessing all the good reviews I read on other sites are for a similar pad with the suede seat. Thank goodness for the excellent customer service at Riding Warehouse, so I'm not stuck with something I can't use.

Comments: I received the black bareback pad from my parents for Christmas and I am in love! The material is breathable and really grippy! The pony I exercise loves the bareback pad too! The girth fits my 14.2 hand pony and can fit a horse as well! Thank you so much Riding Warehouse!
