About the Brand: Beta Biothane is a synthetic material that combines the strength of polyester webbing with a coating of vinyl for super easy care. This material offers the look, feel and strength of traditional leather with the added benefits of easy care and maintenance and complete weather-proof durability. Finished with stainless steel hardware, this crupper is completely weather-proof and washable with soap and water, guaranteeing a rust-free lifetime of use!

The split design of this crupper easily accommodates saddles with d-rings on the cantle and offers a significant length increase over straight crupper designs.

Split saddle crupperThe binder rings are quite stiff. My arthritic fingers have a really tough time adjusting the straps.

Sharp Seam - Do not use!There is a sharp seam on each side just below the buckles on the tail piece. I didn’t notice until it rubbed holes on the butts of both horses after a long descent from a lookout. The leather tail section is smooth and doesn’t cause this problem. I purchased 4 of these, they all have this sharp area.
