About the Brand: Beta BioThane is a synthetic material that combines the strength of polyester webbing with a coating of vinyl for super easy care. This material gives you the look, feel and strength of leather with a better price. It's so much easier to care for! Hose it off, or scrub in a bucket of warm water with a little horse shampoo, as needed. Built to last and last for years and miles with easy care.
Sizing
Sizing: Plenty of room for adjustments and will fit a mule (or horse) from 800 to 1,600 lbs. The hip straps adjust from 19" to 29" long, the top straps adjust from 14" to 22", and the breeching measures 2" wide by 45" long.

Comments: I gave this breeching to a friend as a gift. She rides in the mountains and didn't have anything to keep the pressure off her horse's withers when going downhill. I was pleased with the quality of this item.

Comments: I was having a problem keeping my saddle off of the neck of my flat-backed, no-withers mare when we went down steep hills. I ordered a crupper but just could not bring myself to use it! Looks to be so uncomfortable (even though I know they are used often for my problem...) Plus, I read that a crupper will only hold about 6-pounds of pressure. I have NO idea how much pressure is put on a crupper going down a very steep hill, what with 135# rider, saddle, etc. So, I looked online and saw positive comments about saddle breeching. I ordered the Berlin Beta from Riding Warehouse. Rode with it yesterday for the first time. No rubbing, mare seemed comfortable, and I didn't have to worry going down steep hills! Great peace of mind! I do wish the breeching came with adjustment instructions; had to hit the internet again to see how to properly set it up. Anyway, successful purchase!
