The 10-foot rein length is perfect for trail riders, especially if they plan on allowing their horse to stop and drink while on the trail. 10 feet is the perfect length to allow the horse to drink without the rider having to tip forward out of the saddle.
About the Brand: Built to last and last for years and miles, Beta BioThane is a synthetic material that combines the strength of polyester webbing with a coating of vinyl for incredibly easy care. This material gives you the look, feel and strength of leather with a better price. It's so much easier to care for! Hose it off, or scrub in a bucket of warm water with a little horse shampoo or dish soap and air or towel dry.
A swivel bolt snap on each bit end allows for easy attachment or detachment of the reins to the bit and both can be removed completely if a more permanent attachment is desired.

Comments: These are keepers for me. I have lots of problems with my hands. I used to use round rope reins for trail riding but that became uncomfortable. Then I switched to some 1" flat rope reins. They felt great in some ways but the weight of them caused more hand problems, especially my thumb. I tried 1/2" flat reins from RW but they were so light I really didn't like the contact. Finally settled on these. So far so good and I've ridden far enough now to think they are what I need at this point in time. I have never liked clips. I bought a bit chin strap from RW which has buckles on it and am using the buckles from that instead of the clips. It looks like they came on the reins. Nice length to these reins too. I wouldn't like them for arena work but for trail they seem to fit the bill.
