Maintaining your horse's mane is made easy with this Aluminum Mane Pulling Comb! The perfect size to fit in your hand, this comb offers lightweight aluminum construction, guaranteeing strength and durability to last through the show seasons!

For most shows, a pulled mane is a must. Not only does it keep your horse looking tidy and clean when the mane is down, but a pulled mane also makes braiding and banding much easier and saves time during show preparation. Tips & Hints for Mane Pulling:

  • Start at the ears and work your way down.. you get more fatigued as you work your way down, its much better to start where the most hair is!
  • If you have a sensitive horse, try pulling only a few hairs in small sections at a time and even break up the sessions between days.
  • Give your horse a hay net to keep him busy and happy while you work!
  • Try lifting and pulling the hair UP and away rather than down -- this way you are pulling the direction the hair grows rather than against it, which prevents unnecessary soreness.
  • Less is more! Always trim or pull the mane a little longer than you intend for the finished product. You can always go back and trim a little more, but it takes a much longer time to grow back!
  • Pull your horse's mane after you've ridden - his pores will be open, making it easier to pull the hairs without pain.
  • Tend to your horse's mane regularly, eliminating the need for intense pulling sessions.
