Not up to the product they replacedI picked up these shipping boots (another person using for laminitic wrap for warmth in the winter) as my Shires brand were now 3 seasons old and starting to look a little worn out. At the end of this first winter it was impossible to tell the 4 season old ones from the 1 season ones. They are only used approximately 25 to 30 days a winter. I feel that I/we need this type of product but am very disappointed in the quality of ARMA compared to Shires brand.

They're OKBought these for keeping my PPID/IR hinny's legs warm to avoid "winter laminitis" and while the boots did an excellent job of that (even though I realize that's not what they were designed for), the velcro straps grip so tightly I have to use needle nose pliers to unfasten them. The fleece grabs shavings like a magnet, and it takes a good 10 minutes per boot to clean the shavings off. One boot, after 2 uses is started to pull apart, so they're not very durable. I've found most Shires products to be really good, but these were a major disappointment.

Comments: Very pleased with these boots, especially for the price. They are not tapered but are flexible enough that they don't need to be. Just what I needed.

Comments: I got the Shires shipping boots almost two years ago. They have been a great purchase! The price point was perfect for what I needed them for (local hauling). They fit my (16.0 hand) mare great! They stay in place, have never caused any rubs, and they're quick to put on. The group of friends that I haul out, and trail ride with don't wrap their horses. So after our rides I was always holding everyone up brushing down, and bandaging up my mare's legs to haul home. They never complained, but I felt like I was slowing them down. These shipping boots were my solution!

Comments: I bought these to make a laminitic gelding more comfortable, as he is, unfortunately, going through a bout in the winter. I have others but I thought it couldn't hurt to have an extra set, especially at this price. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, and find that they stay put better than the others I have. Excellent buy!
