Featuring oh-so-soft genuine sheepskin in dual depth of wool with 1 1/4" where the rider sits and 2/3" at the sides for a close contact feel. This exceptionally comfortable wool bottom protects, cushions, and pulls moisture away from your horse's back while the shimmable design is available to aid with ill-fitting saddles. The addition of nylon at the bottom flap prevents girth chafing while also preventing wear and tear on the pad. Secure velcro attachments at the front and back allow this pad to be positioned correctly under the saddle and prevent slippage, no matter how exhilarating the ride. Please Note:
The manufacturer suggests leaving any sweaty product in an open, airy spot with access to fresh air in order to properly dry. This will allow sweat to air out and not compromise the sheepskin, leather, or metal. Washing the items with a sheepskin wash is also suggested to keep your products looking and feeling good.
Cleaning Instructions:
Thanks to Christ's exclusive tanning process, all of their sheepskin products can be washed in a standard washing machine. Remove any foam accessories and close all Velcro strips. Products with any metal parts should be washed in a cloth bag. Wash with the wool wash or other delicates program, set at 30°C (86°F). Use a special sheepskin detergent or a mild liquid household detergent. Do not use soap or washing powders containing enzymes or bleach, or which are alkaline.
When the wash cycle has finished you can spin-dry your product and then put it into a dryer, set at max. 40°C (104° F).
The movement and warmth in the dryer is very advantageous, keeping your product soft and supple. If you don’t have a dryer you should dry your sheepskin product in the fresh air, but only in a shady place. Do not dry your product in the sun or on the heater! While your sheepskin is drying, keep pulling it into its correct form – when the leather fibers are damp, they are far more elastic than when they are dry.

Comments: Very well made pad and the sheepskin is great quality; good size and fit for an endurance saddle, instantly feels good and has held up well so far. My only complaint is the lack of good keepers; the center ones for the girth are thin, and the front ones are not in the correct position. On my first trail ride in the mountains, it kept slipping. I will attach my own keepers and then the pad will be perfect. It is still a great find and price for the quality.
