The Weaver Wool Blend Felt Shim Pad offers functional versatility for the hard-working horse and rider. Constructed with a dense wool blend felt, this pad effectively absorbs shock while wicking moisture to keep your horse cool and comfortable. Three shim pockets on each side of the spine allow you to use EVA foam inserts to adjust for saddle fit or conformational issues as well as provide additional impact protection. The contoured shape assists in alleviating pressure on the spine and withers while also helping the pad stay in place. Finished with a durable top and wear leathers, this pad is sure to last for years to come.

Comments: Pros: Sturdy, doesn't move around. Nice contour. Pretty decent foam. Nice cutout for your leg to reduce bulk. Cons: felt is very scratchy and rubbed hairs. It made strange ridges in the hair where the hair went up into the stitching on the underside. Also, the foam in the pockets is VERY far apart making the channel between the foam edges about 6" wide. This might not cause an issue but with the scratchy felt I decided to not keep it.
