Comments: This strap is a must for trail riding in my English saddle. I don’t use it as a “grab” strap because it is situated too low to actually reach once an emergency has ensued, and I don’t want to risk getting my hand caught up in it. But it is indispensable as an attachment point for some extra gear, and to help me lift my saddle. Also great for steadying myself during tricky river crossings or a steep downhill trail! Let me tell you, this strap has been through some stuff and it has held up fantastically in the year that I have had it. I tried a strap with buckles instead of snaps first, and it was a pain to attach and wasn’t nearly long enough. This strap has snaps that don’t create bulk in spite of my recessed front D rings and it is the perfect length. I give it a swipe with leather conditioner whenever I clean my saddle and it looks good as new. Who knew such a simple piece of equipment could make my life so much easier?

Comments: Unfortunately too long for a Thinline bareback pad. It lays flat because of the way the clips attach, so it would have been almost to my crotch and pretty much useless. It seems very high quality, though, and the clips are convenient, so I'd highly recommend it if it's the right length for your saddle or pad. If they came in a shorter length then I'd absolutely buy one.
