Made from the finest plush pelts available, JMS truly leaves the competition behind. The natural hide underside covers and clings to the saddle for a no-slip fit. Easily attaches with a strong elastic strap attachment that runs under the saddle gullet and attaches with ties. Fits saddle seat size 18" and over.
These plush seat covers have 1" thick Merino wool pile, assuring comfort on long rides, trekking in all weather. JMS uses only premium Merino Sheepskin pelts imported from Australia and they are thick, soft, and the most durable available. JMS hand-traces and hand-cuts their products at their ranch in Southern Arizona.

Materials:
While other materials trap heat and moisture and need to be perforated to allow heat/moisture to escape sheepskin's performance actually improves with moisture content. Each fiber contains many chambers that naturally store liquid, becoming more plump and elastic with increased moisture, translating into effective relief of pressure points and creating a vital protective layer between your saddle and your horse's back.
Care Suggestions:
To clean, simply machine wash on gentle, or by hand, with cool water and mild soap. Air dry out of the sun. Use a vacuum or brush to keep the wool pile fluffy.

Comments: WOW! I happened to find a good old Courbette Lemetex dressage saddle in a therapeutic riding charity sale whose tree was the perfect shape for my horse. Courbettes aren't known for being comfortable and this one was borderline, not quite the right seat width for me. It's an 18" saddle, but doesn't have the big deep seat of most newer dressage saddles, and this cover fits well; maybe a hair large, but it stays in place and makes the saddle SO comfortable! It should accommodate the new style saddles well. The sheepskin is dense and relives pressure so well. Note: The neoprene flap behind the cantle on my black cover is black, NOT brown as pictured (thankfully).
