Love these!I've been using these nets for years; I have some that are probably 8 years old or more. The nylon ones available in stores are too hard on their teeth. The cotton ones don't last. These are durable yet easier on their teeth. They're the best price here!

Great net for the priceIt’s a solid net for a great price. You’ll want to replace the flimsy closure string with something more substantial. I didn’t have high expectations but have been happy with its performance so far (a month of use).

Decent netFor such an economical price, this is a very good net. The closure string is really flimsy, so I replaced it with a heavier weight piece of rope. I don’t expect it to have the same longevity as a premium brand of hay net, but I am pleasantly surprised at how well it’s performing. Would totally recommend.

Great quality, holds up.Just one month into using this hay net for daily feeding and it is holding up well. Easy to load, easy to close. Holds about 2 flakes.

Best hay nets!I've used these nets for many years and have been super happy with them. The holes are just the right size - not too big, not too small. They hold up well and the material is nice and soft so it doesn't damage my horse's teeth and gums.

Work horse hay netsHave been using these for years in my 5-horse herd. Keeps hay wastage to a minimum and the price is good when you need to buy several at once. Not to mention they are large enough to fill with 4-5 large flakes. Have discovered that if you try to fasten them too securely, the horses will rip holes in them by bracing against the bag so free-swing is ideal, but they usually last at least a year or two of abuse before it's time for a replacement. The drawstrings are the weak point, so expect to need to replace those first - but braided hay string works great.

Great paddock netsThese aren't slow feeder nets; if that's what you're looking for, check out other options, like Freedom Feeder. These are perfect paddock nets, to reduce waste and keep hay off the ground. By putting out at least one more than the number of horses, you avoid food-guarding, and horses eat when they're hungry rather than gobbling it all up. I replace the drawstrings with paracord and use the original drawstrings to fix holes. They do wear out, but at this price I can buy enough to have two or three in the “mend” pile and still have plenty for the horses. A couple has gotten to the unfixable stage, so I'm ordering more.

Comments: It slowed my horse down while feeding. Probably extended her feeding time by a few hours, which was great. But she bit through and cut in half one of the strings in the first few days. The drawstring also comes out. I agree with the other reviews in that the drawstring should be a different color. It can be hard to find it and reweave it through all the loops. I do like it, but I'm not sure how long this will last.

Comments: These are very durable and a great size, but they don't work as "slow" feeders for my hoover of a mustang. I'm not sure if the mesh stretched or if I'm measuring wrong, but the holes are a good four inches. Love the hay nets but will be looking for something else that slows them down.

Comments: I purchased two of these nets in different colors. They are both very large and I can fit six flakes in them off of my three-string bales. I've only had them for a couple weeks, but so far my horses have been doing very well and the nets are still in perfect shape. I would love to see smaller hole sizes offered in the future. These nets are a great value, and if they ever break, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more since they are so affordable.

Comments: This is the best net for the price. My horse already tore a hole in the other one this company makes. But this one he hasn't worn out at all. He has three nets, two are this type. He eats from his nets twice a day. I would love them even more if the holes were smaller, because it doesn't really slow him down with the current size holes, just keeps him a tad more busy and the food off of the floor. I will definitely buy these again!

Comments: I love these nibble nets. I have purchased several of them and they hold up great! My horses eat slower and they hold quite a bit of hay!
From: Cathryn - Kitimat, BC, Canada

Comments: I ordered 5 of them and only one was the large size the other 4 look to be the small size. I don't care. They are cheap and probably won't last as long as the other quality ones RW sells. They are fine and will work... You get what you pay for. If you want the best then don't buy these, get a good one and pay for it. :-) I appreciate RW for offering both cheap ones and super nice hay nets. The choice is yours. These are 'disposable".

Comments: Bought 2 large nets. Both different in size and very small. Disappointed in the sizing as other reviews mentioned.   Decided to use in stalls instead of field. Material is nice and soft and colors are nice too, as pictured. String came undone but easily put back in and knotted ends. One continuous string that is bonded together. Recommend finding where it first attaches together and putting a couple knots in before hanging. Nice soft nets, but large is super small-- will only hold a couple flakes. Good price, just very small nets. Not true to size. Best suited for trailer or stall.

Comments: I can't have enough of these - having 2 very easy-keepers makes these a necessity in my barn - they actually enjoy eating out of them and choose this method over hay on the ground (I feed with these and on the ground so they go back and forth).

Comments: Best value in a slow feeder hay net -- reasonably durable and do what they're supposed to. I have bought many of these!

Comments: Great hay net, easy to use and the large ones can hold quite a bit of hay.  I used one all winter and just bought another one so I can have 2 while camping.  Sometimes have issues tying them while camping so we've started using carabiner clips; might not suggest in a stall but while camping very simple and easy to hook/unhook a full haybag.

Comments: I loved these nets so much the day they arrived, I ordered four more! They are convenient, effective and an inexpensive way to free-feed.
From: Jaya - Paradise, California, USA

Comments: I purchased this for my horse that was put on stall rest for an injury.  He absolutely loves this net, and it takes him a good 4 hours of picking to empty it out.  He has been on free choice hay, but I think from now on I’ll be using these nets instead.  The net is really easy to fill; I just drape it open over a clean muck bucket, and fill it with about 2 large flakes of grass hay.  My horse actually prefers to eat out of this than his regular feeder, given the choice.
From: Maryanne - Auburn, California, USA

Comments: I have been using this net for my easy keeper mule, and so far I love it--the holes are small enough to slow her down, and it seems to be holding up well. My only complaint is that the drawstring came undone pretty quickly and I had to tie it back together.
From: Aura - Redmond, Oregon, USA

Comments: I purchased two of these for when the weather is bad and my horses choose to stay inside.  The nets themselves haven't broken, but the string that you hang them by has broken on one of them just about every time I've used them.  A hay net full of hay stepped on, on the barn floor defeats the purpose.  The drawstring needs to be stronger, and also maybe a different color, so it's easier to find amongst the net when it's on the ground and it would make it easier to thread - which I never have extra time to do.  Making the loops where you thread the string through (because you will be doing this often) a different color would be a good idea too, since it can be difficult to quickly identify the loops to re-thread the drawstring.  I was pleased with the amount of hay they held; however.

Comments: Got these for my boys who are notorious for scattering the hay in the stall and making a potty spot. They WORK and NO MORE wasted hay! LOVE these. Very stretchy, I can get one around about 3/4 of a good sized square bale. I hang them from the ceiling so the weight of the hay keeps them hanging down to horse level and off the ground.
From: Tricia - Alabama, USA

Comments: Based on the previous reviews I purchased two of these haynets for my boys. One of them eats like he's in a speed eating contest.  I ended up being a little disappointed.  The tie string on both came apart rather quickly, which one of the previous posts mentioned so I wasn't surprised.  But Mr speed-eater actually managed to widen the holes at the bottom of the bag.  In his desperation to get to the hay the knots slipped.  Now the holes are no longer small and he is a happy boy.
