The supple, lightweight Tory Nylon Sidepull Rope Halter Combo is an affordable bitless bridle option and rope halter in one! Constructed from durable polypropylene rope, this rope halter/sidepull provides effective and light control to virtually eliminate the need for a bit and offers a lifetime of pliable reliability that can be adjusted to fit most horses.
The knotted nose piece features four knots to apply strategic pressure in addition to dee rings for rein attachment. The slight rigidity of the rope maintains control and encourages light responses to pressure on the reins. After your ride, it acts as a traditional rope halter and the rings provide a place to attach cross-ties.
Please Note: We do not recommend washing this halter in a washing machine, as the knots may become loose.

Comments: Works great. Exactly what I wanted for working with a young horse. Cannot speak about durability, but the knots are right where I need them and the sidepull rings make it easy to cross tie. Fits a 16hh tb well, but can easily be adjusted up or down. Update: I have to change my review from highly satisfied to disappointed after two weeks of use. Two reasons 1) The plastic end of the halter comes off after just a few uses. Other rope halters have a metal end to prevent fraying. This halter will not last. 2) This halter damaged my horse’s face. He had swelling where the knots were. The halter is a rougher texture than other rope halters so that may be why. Will be looking for another product.

Comments: I liked this halter a lot but found it entirely too large for my 14.2 Arab, and my 15 hand Mustang. It was just stiff enough to hold it's shape well, yet it had a nice soft feel to it. If I had a larger horse with a bigger head I would of kept it. As usual the folks at RW were helpful with the return. Keep your invoice because it helps streamline the process of returning items with them. Great company!

Comments: I like this idea, however, the rings to attach the reins are too far forward to work effectively. They need to be about 3" back. As is, it works more like a cavesson. Too bad.
